Installation Procedure:
Note:
We make every effort to ensure our tutorials are accurate, but the vehicle manufacturers sometimes make changes we are not aware of. If you find an error or omission in our tutorial, please email us. Photos are always welcomed and helpful.

The first photo shows a typical rear door panel:

Note that once the next two steps (shown below) are finished, the panel will lift up and off the door frame. Note also that the panel will need to lift up over the lock rod sticking up through the panel.

It is sometimes easier to get the panel off with the window down, but you will need to roll the window up to install the plate.

In the second photo, you can see a screw in the center of the door handle shroud. Remove this screw and the handle shroud.

Seen here are two screws along the bottom edge of the door panel. Remove these screws.

You should now be able to carefully lift the panel up and away from the door. Watch for any wires that may be connected to a component on the door panel.

Install the plate on the handle as described in the instructions with the kit. Be sure to snug up the nuts on the handle, but do not over-tighten.

Put the door panel back on in reverse order.

This completes this installation.
